A Country club Wedding picture Story

Jackie & Dan’s East Horton Country Club Wedding had me hanging on, cameras swinging, in a golf buggy, trying to keep up with the bride and groom as they whizzed over fairways to a spot where we’d take some portraits. A wedding first for me. Jackie had got ready at Marwell Hotel , built in a Kenyan safari lodge ‘Treetops’ style, situated at the entrance to Marwell Zoo, and perfect for the planned post wedding decompression day of giraffe, monkey and penguin entertainment with their kids. I’d rarely met such a relaxed group of wedding guests, and they were full of character and lovely to photograph. The ceremony brought tears, not least from Jackie’s oldest daughter, the emotion felt by us all. The humour throughout the day was infectious. Not least when Dan had to rescue Jackie’s fine shoe heel, from between decking where it had wedged during portraits, and then soft golf course turf, carrying her back to the reception. Speeches, dancing, and lots of drinks and laughter into the night. East Horton Country Club is a great venue and was used to the full by this super wedding party.
